Telecommunications Operator (PRN)
– MedStar Health Apply as a PRN Telecommunications Operator at MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital. The position is open 24/7 and requires flexible availability across day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts. Responsibilities
Answer all incoming calls to the facility with courtesy and efficiency. Provide courteous and efficient communication within the hospital and share general information about the network with callers. Take ownership of complaints and facilitate immediate service recovery. Relay incoming, outgoing, and interoffice telephone calls in a timely, professional manner. Maintain an orderly flow of internal communications within the hospital and address any crisis that may arise. Takes messages and relays them when necessary. Record and report communication system malfunctions to the director or appropriate vendor in the director’s absence to ensure timely repair. Respond to alarms located in the service area. Know staff/personnel functions to direct callers promptly, knowledgeably, and effectively. Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED required. Some college/vocational education preferred. Experience
1-2 years telecommunications experience in a hospital/call center environment required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent customer service skills and verbal communication skills; the incumbent will be the main point of contact for all stakeholders who need to be directed to appropriate parties. Effective written communication skills. Ability to function efficiently when there is a high volume of calls and to multitask accordingly. Hiring range:
