Design Build Senior Project Manager (PE)
DRMP is seeking a motivated Design‑Build Senior Project Manager to lead multi‑discipline engineering teams for major transportation infrastructure projects in North Carolina and across the southeastern United States. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and the design‑build delivery method.
Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
Lead the development of design and construction plans in collaboration with engineering and construction teams.
Identify and mitigate project risks and maintain project schedules and budgets.
Assemble and lead high‑performing multi‑discipline project teams, including engineers, designers, and subconsultants.
Build and maintain strong relationships as the primary contact for construction clients and owner agencies.
Manage project contracts, including change orders, claims, and dispute resolution.
Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet design and construction standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in highway infrastructure design.
Proven experience in design project management, preferably for design‑build projects.
5+ years of NCDOT DB experience.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with excellent communication and presentation skills.
Detail‑oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
