Technical Writer
to support operations in
Charleston, SC . This is a
full-time, CONUS

What You’ll Do As a
Technical Writer , you will create, edit, and maintain high-quality documentation that supports the installation, operation, maintenance, and understanding of our products, services, and processes. You will communicate complex technical information clearly to engineers, technicians, and end users serving the Cambridge corporate office. You will:
Write and update material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications related to work methods, procedures, installation, operation, and maintenance.
Acquire assignments from supervisor.
Study production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedures and details.
Interview production and engineering personnel and review journals, reports, and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods.
Review manufacturers’ and trade catalogs, drawings, and data related to operation, maintenance, and service.
Study blueprints, flowcharts, sketches, drawings, parts lists, specifications, mockups, and product samples to integrate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence.
Organize material and complete writing assignments according to standards of clarity, order, conciseness, style, and terminology.
Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction and binding.
Maintain records and files of work and revisions as needed.
May select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material and may assist in layout and distribution of material.
What You’ll Bring Required Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or Technical Writing and 3 years of experience creating, editing, and reviewing technical documentation, procedures, and guidelines for C4ISR or similar systems or equipment.
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency with computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position. Three (3) years of experience creating, editing, and reviewing technical documentation, procedures, and guidelines for C4ISR or similar systems or equipment.
Certifications:
Proficient with modern IT tools and infrastructure technologies.
Work Environment
Compliance with vaccination and medical requirements for TDY/OCONUS roles as per Vaccine Recommendations by AOR | Health.mil.
Office Setting
Primarily an office-based role in Charleston, SC.
Standard desk/computer work with flexibility for移 on site.
Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk and using a computer for most of the workday.
Work is generally comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, and standing.
May be required to travel short distances to offices, conference rooms, and buildings on site.
Background & Security
