EGS is seeking a Senior SmartPlant 3D Piping Designer for immediate hire. The Designer must be eager to learn new skills to create feasible/practical solutions to challenging design problems. The Engineer will be part of a team executing a U.S. Government cost-shared development program requiring efficient completion of engineering assignments. Positions are available in Camden, NJ. The Sr. SmartPlant Piping Designer will work within the Design Development team to design and model piping systems for the dual-unit SMR-300 project, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. Will coordinate to deploy, change, and manage work, processes, and practices across multiple disciplines (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Nuclear, Safety Analysis, Process/Systems, etc.) and partners to facilitate efficient delivery of the expanding scope defined in an integrated project schedule. The Sr. SmartPlant Piping Designer will be expected to serve as a lead member of a team comprised of other designers, engineers, adjuncts, and project staff. Will be expected to identify areas of improvement and initiate changes. The ideal Sr. SmartPlant Piping Designer will have at least 15 years of piping design experience, including at least 6 years in a senior role using SmartPlant 3D. The ideal candidate will also have experience with EPC projects (e.g., nuclear power plants), project management, construction, and commissioning. They should have skills and experience preparing piping material take-offs, fabrication drawings, and use of piping codes, such as ASME B31.1 and B31.3. Specific Areas of Responsibility

B.S. degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, related field of engineering, or applicable experience. 15+ years of progressive experience in piping design and EPC projects (e.g., in power, oil & gas, water treatment, nuclear). Demonstrated experience with plant systems, including steam, water, air, electric, and waste systems. Very strong (expert) proficiency in SP3D and Navisworks. Strong proficiency in communication and interdisciplinary coordination with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., vendors). Strong understanding of codes and standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills. Excellent attention to detail and capable of producing error-free documents. Eligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810 Preferred Qualifications
Experience in commercial nuclear or naval nuclear design and/or operation. Professional Engineering (PE) license. Experience in 10 CFR 50 regulations. Project Management Professional (PMP). LEAN experience (product or process workflow improvement, including Six Sigma). Seniority level
