ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Production Artist is primarily responsible for creating production-ready image files. This is a fast-paced, micro-manufacturing environment, as multiple orders are received and processed daily. The Production Artist will be expected to work quickly and efficiently with an eye for detail while utilizing the latest software and techniques. All job functions will relate to the production of consumer orders.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Bachelor or Associate degree in Graphic Arts, Design, or Fine Arts Minimum 1 year experience in production art or work-related experience Minimum 1 year experience with Mac, Wacom Tablet, and Pen Proficient with Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator software Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop Actions a plus Proficiency using a Mac and working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Customer service focused and professional attitude Ability to solve problems, prioritize, and take direction Ability to work well in a team environment Work under limited supervision Goal oriented and able to organize time and workload Excellent verbal and written communication skills High level attention to detail
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to produce production-ready image files from originals File cleanups, layouts, and traying based on workflow assignment, customer specifications, and established company guidelines Set text according to job order parameters, inscription guidelines, and working within templates Review file specifications and ensure quality and accuracy prior to releasing files to QC Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and production orders Mastery of actions and macros to minimize keystrokes and optimize efficiency Ensure image files are distributed to engraving area by expected ship dates Team daily target goals and individual performance times must be met or exceeded Compliance with Standard Operating Procedures to perform the functions of the job Gain full knowledge of functions of the automated Fulfillment system to perform daily tasks Advise Lead/Production Manager of equipment issues, work status, workload, and progress as related to orders Represent department and the organization favorably and in accordance with Company standards and associate attributes at all times Other duties as assigned by management
