We’re looking for a Design & Prototyping Contractor to join our small and fast-moving team to help build early product samples and prototypes. This is an ideal role for someone comfortable working with their hands, enjoys problem-solving, and is excited to contribute to real-world product development. You’ll get hands-on experience in the full prototyping process—from sketch to physical form—and work closely with both engineers and designers on a product at the forefront of wearable technology. Scope of Work

Create multiple design concepts considering ergonomics and comfort Produce functional prototypes using appropriate materials and manufacturing methods Document design changes and rationale throughout the iteration process Assist in building and assembling product prototypes Maintain materials, sample parts, and documentation Conduct comfort and durability testing protocols Ensure scalable manufacturing processes Required Qualifications

3+ years experience in wearable product design or similar consumer goods Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or equivalent) Experience with rapid prototyping methods (3D printing, laser cutting, etc.) Knowledge of textile and flexible material properties, Hands-on experience sewing and soldering Understanding of ergonomic design principles and anthropometric data Experience with fit testing and user feedback integration Comfort working in a lab or maker environment Ability to follow drawings and understand basic tolerances (GD&T) Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with wearables, medical devices, or soft goods Knowledge of manufacturing processes for soft goods and textiles Experience with comfort testing methodologies Portfolio demonstrating successful product launches Application Requirements
