Are you an architect with a passion for designing exquisite, functional spaces and the technical expertise to bring those designs to life? Commonwealth Home Design, an award-winning home remodeling and design firm serving Northern Virginia for 40 years, is seeking a skilled Architect to join our team. Our projects range from new home designs and major remodels to custom interior reconfigurations and home additions. As part of our team, you will play a critical role in creating beautiful, functional homes that meet our clients\' visions while navigating local zoning regulations and design challenges. Design home additions and renovations tailored to client needs. Prepare detailed, modeled Construction Documents using Revit. Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, permitting officials, and construction teams to ensure project accuracy and success. Draft reports, proposals, and contracts; adapt plans as necessary during the construction process. Meet with clients to understand their goals and requirements for each project. What you bring
A minimum of ten years of experience in Architectural Design. Proficiency in Revit and experience creating comprehensive architectural designs and construction documents. Familiarity with surveys/plats and zoning regulations and how they impact project designs. Familiarity with structural engineering principles and how they impact designs. A keen eye for detail and a talent for both the creative and technical aspects of architecture. Ability to collaborate closely with clients and construction teams to deliver exceptional results.
