The Strategic Comp Division specializes in workers\' compensation insurance and believes that workers\' compensation is a controllable cost. Since its founding in 1992, the division has partnered with hundreds of customers to significantly reduce both losses and workers\' compensation expenses. The success of Strategic Comp\’s program stems from a distinctive blend of strategies: an aggregate deductible structure that limits risk while rewarding clients for strong performance, a focus on cultural loss control initiatives that drive safer workplace behaviors, and a low case-load, field-based claims adjusting model that ensures personalized and efficient claims management. Strategic Comp is looking to fill a remote Marketing Account Executive position to join their team in
Southern, California . This role is 100% remote but will include travel up to 60% of the time in the southern California region. The candidate must reside in Southern California.
Responsibilities
Market products and services through the Independent Agency system in this specific geographic territory, with goals of achieving high renewal retention and profitable growth of new business.
Focus on communication and relationship management with the agent, our underwriting department, and our Account Executives who work with our insureds.
Demonstrate knowledge of Strategic Comp’s product via strong group presentation skills and effective one-on-one communication.
Gain an in-depth working knowledge of new business and renewal accounts, with all new business submissions coming directly to the Marketing Account Executive, who serves as the front-line underwriter.
Present the account to the Underwriting Department after gathering data, including a strategy for successfully obtaining the order. The compensation plan includes an incentive bonus plan focused on production and retention of accounts.
Work from home with travel up to 60% of the time in the Southern California region, including some overnight travel.
Company car provided. Competitive total rewards program and production bonus for this position.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred and generally 10+ years of experience in production underwriting or marketing commercial insurance on large accounts, preferably in workers’ compensation.
Additional experience in underwriting, loss control, or claims is a plus.
Knowledge of Independent Agent system operations and strong relationships with key agencies in the territory.
Ability to travel up to 60% of the time by car or plane.
