Writer Needed for Short Film Monologues

Overview Writer needed for short film monologues - a personal but conceptual project by Lindsay Callahan. I am a singer/songwriter and filmmaker developing a short film/music album and I need original, character-driven monologues to bring my vision to life. The goal is to create something authentic and emotionally engaging for screen. The film has one character (myself).

What I’m Looking For

Screenwriter, playwright, or actor-writer with a strong background in writing monologues.

Collaborative process — at least one live session (Zoom/Google Meet) where I can walk you through the story, concept and tone.

Introductory monologue already written to set the tone; you will help craft and refine the monologues throughout the film with me.

Format Short film: 40 minutes

Material Needed

4-6 monologues, 30 seconds – 2 minutes each

Timeline 1–2 weeks

Collaboration Open to revisions and feedback until final drafts are locked.

Experience & Skills

Experience writing for screen or stage.

Comfortable collaborating in a live session and translating discussion into performance-ready material.
