Responsibilities include: Assist in product development at all stages under guidance of designers: sketching, detail sketches, tech-packing (proto stage), trend presentation brochures, presentation boards, etc. Coordinate samples: check in proto and sale samples, track, organize, and archive. Measure protos in preparation for fitting. Help maintain fabric assortment for each season. Assist in generating and updating line sheets and color cards. Understand the customers by doing market research. Develop comprehensive knowledge of the customer and competition. Concept research. Adhere to due dates for all stages of design. Able to adjust to changing business needs. Adjust to Time and Action calendar changes. Send out and follow up on packages for overseas vendors. Coordinate sample requests from sales and marketing. Attend fittings with production and technical design. Work with design, sales, and production to effectively communicate departmental needs and design requests. Participate in group meetings and trend shopping. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Fashion Knits Design or BA in related science. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the sweater category. Proficient in Illustrator & PLM is a must. Must have strong technical knowledge and ability to create tech packs. Salary Range: 65-80K. Actual base salary for this role within the above range will be based upon experience, qualifications, and/or assigned unit. We are an EEO / Affirmative Action Employer.
