Position Summary We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Media Sales Manager to lead a high-performing team of Media Sales Consultants. This individual will be responsible for overseeing revenue generation across multiple platforms, including radio broadcast, digital advertising, events, and branded content. The Media Sales Manager will drive team success through coaching, accountability, innovation, and client-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

Manage and lead teams across multiple media platforms effectively.

Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of Media Sales Consultants to achieve and exceed revenue targets.

Provide ongoing training, feedback, and performance evaluations.

Set clear goals, KPIs, and expectations for individual and team performance.

Foster a collaborative, high-performance sales culture focused on innovation and client success.

Revenue & Strategy Development

Develop and implement sales strategies across broadcast, digital, event, and content platforms.

Identify new business opportunities and high-growth sectors.

Work with executive leadership to develop pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies.

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry changes to maintain a competitive edge.

Client & Campaign Oversight

Support team members in closing key accounts and securing long-term partnerships.

Ensure all campaigns are executed effectively and deliver ROI for clients.

Participate in high-level sales calls, pitches, and presentations when needed.

Serve as a liaison between the sales team and other departments (marketing, promotions, programming, digital production).

Collaborate with MSM peers to promote sales of cross-market opportunities.

Reporting & Forecasting

Track team performance and pipeline using CRM and sales reporting tools.

Provide weekly/monthly sales forecasts and performance updates to senior leadership. Analyze campaign data and revenue trends to inform future strategies.

Qualifications

3–5+ years of media sales experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role; or combined experience.

Proven success in multi-platform media sales (radio, digital, events, branded content).

Strong leadership, coaching, and motivational skills.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Proficiency in CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related field preferred, or three-year related work experience.
