What You Will Do Perform interior design assignments including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and construction documentation. Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction. Provide design support and documentation during the completion and execution of design concepts. Effectively communicate design ideas through hand sketching and digital graphics. Create material palettes and inspiration image boards independently. Collaborate with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators. Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and permitting officials. Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions for complex technical and design challenges. Produce accurate technical and contract documentation for construction using Revit. Coordinate with the project team to ensure design intent is incorporated into construction documentation. Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues, and maintain quality control during construction. Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet project objectives. Create 3D renderings, preferably using Enscape, to communicate design concepts. Your Qualifications Relevant experience in the described role. Creative resourcefulness with materials, furniture, and fixtures. Excellent color sense and passion for design. Strong graphic design, organizational, communication, and time management skills. Self-motivated, dedicated, and efficient. Enjoy responsibility and team collaboration. Interest in both big picture and detailed design ideas. Proficiency in 3D conceptualization, digitally or by hand, is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school. 5+ years of post-graduate interior design experience. Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper, and other modeling software. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Strong visualization skills for effective communication of design ideas. Commitment to sustainability, with experience in LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL, Fitwell, or Net Zero certifications, and a portfolio including at least one such project.
