Francis Marion University and the Department of English and Philosophy invite applications for an Assistant Professor of English to serve as Assistant Director of the Writing Center. This is a tenure-track position. Experience in writing center administration required. Experience teaching language learners is preferred. Primary teaching responsibilities include professional and technical writing and first-year composition. Teaching load for Assistant Director is 2/3. Francis Marion University (FM) provides generous travel support for faculty presenting research at scholarly and professional conferences. Summer research stipends are available on a competitive basis. Francis Marion is a state-supported regional comprehensive university with a strong emphasis on the liberal arts.
