The Procurement Marketing Buyer is responsible for drafting and executing contracts within predefined thresholds and supporting general procurement activities. This role requires strong contract and supplier management skills, including drafting Statements of Work (SOWs) and collaborating with suppliers for contract review and approval. The Buyer will negotiate agreements to secure the best terms for Takeda and ensure all suppliers are covered by active contracts in collaboration with Category Managers and Global Legal. Responsibilities
Draft, negotiate, and execute contracts and agreements within established thresholds. Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders for contract review and approvals. Draft Statements of Work (SOWs) and manage supplier interactions. Ensure compliance with procurement guidelines and policies. Prioritize tasks based on cost, timeline, and complexity, aligning with internal Global Procurement priorities. Maintain professionalism and high-quality deliverables while engaging vendors and internal stakeholders. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required. 3–5 years of Procurement experience, specifically in the Marketing category (creative agencies, digital agencies, media, brand promotion). Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier relationship management, and risk management. Experience in drafting contracts, SOWs, and negotiating terms. Pharma industry experience preferred. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
