Lead Product Designer
– AI Agents team at
Zendesk

We collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Content Designers, and Researchers to create rapid prototypes, experiment, and obsess over our customers’ needs.
As the Lead Product Designer for our AI Agents team, you will define the vision for a best‑in‑class AI automation platform. You will drive product innovation focusing on our next generation of agentic solutions while continuously improving the AI Agents creation and management experience. You will collaborate closely with other designers to ensure an optimal and consistent end‑to‑end experience. Your role will be critical to the success and adoption of the AI agents product mission and help solidify Zendesk as a leading AI‑powered customer service automation platform.

Live and breathe AI, self‑service, and adoption—think about how to make the product easily adopted, efficiently configured, and impactful for every customer type.
Partner with product & engineering teams to research and develop new AI automation and bot capabilities for our customers.
Work across cross‑functional teams—product managers, engineers, researchers, and content strategists—to develop designs from ideas to execution and ensure a detailed design process.
Design interaction models, flows, wireframes, and high‑fidelity mockups that promote ease of use and optimize how customers interact with our products while partnering with other designers on the larger product vision.
Present design solutions to partners and senior executives, defend design decisions, and incorporate feedback into the design cycle.
What You Bring To The Role
7+ years of professional experience designing consumer or business SaaS applications (enterprise is a plus).
Professional experience designing for a product‑led growth mindset to optimize for adoption.
Prior experience with designing generative AI‑powered product experiences and AI‑enhanced workflows.
Ability to operate in a technical environment and help visualize the impact of technical decisions on the global user experience.
Proactive self‑starter comfortable with ambiguity and capable of communicating and prototyping design concepts rapidly at all fidelity levels.
A solid design process and collaboration mindset, as well as the ability to educate product teams on how to best work with designers.
A strong visual portfolio that showcases your work, provides details of your role on projects, and shows examples of functional designs that you have developed from start to finish.
