About The Role As a Specialist on Asurion’s Strategic Internal Communications & Events team, you will play a key role in delivering impactful experiences for our employees. This role is a unique blend of event planning, design support, communications, and meaningful work supporting Compassion Forward—Asurion’s employee giving fund. You’ll collaborate across the team and full organization to bring ideas to life. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, has strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills, and enjoys both creative and operational problem‑solving.
What You’ll Do
Event Planning & Execution
Partner with the events team to support planning and on‑site execution.
Manage logistics such as AV dry runs, vendor coordination, budget tracking, and invoice processing.
Create and maintain event documents, including Run of Show, schedules, and planning materials.
Oversee event details like décor, swag, catering, and attendee experience.
Work across event management platforms (CVENT).
Design & Creative Support
Provide design support for events and internal communications, including signage, banners, name badges, email templates, and presentations.
Assist with visual storytelling for enterprise‑wide communications.
Compassion Forward Program Support
Handle administrative and project management tasks for Asurion’s employee fund (Compassion Forward).
Process invoices, prepare grant requests, and track donations.
Communications
Serve as a reliable partner to the Communication Leads when needed to support internal communication requests.
Additional Details
Occasional travel required.
Role based in Nashville, with 3 days in the office per week; occasionally more based on event schedule.
What We’re Looking For
4+ years of event planning experience
2+ years of communications and design experience
Bachelor’s degree in event planning, hospitality, marketing, or related areas
Proven experience supporting event planning and execution.
Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Forms).
Familiarity with event management systems (CVENT).
Basic design skills and experience with presentation/graphic tools.
A creative problem‑solver with a positive, collaborative approach.
