About the Team The WP Creator Network is a start‑up within The Post that builds audience and revenue opportunities across the division, with an initial focus on video and creator partnerships.
Why This Role Matters The Director of Business Operations reports to the President, WP Creator Network and leads cross‑functional teams to build audience and revenue opportunities, establish order from ambiguity, and deliver growth for creators.
How You’ll Support the Mission
Develop new partnerships with independent creators that grow audience and revenue for both parties.
Evaluate third‑party vendors and revenue opportunities for brand sponsorship to support creator video.
Oversee production, promotion, creator support, and audience growth operations.
Develop and track key performance indicators with stakeholders.
Work with business development, finance, and sales to build services for creators.
Collaborate with newsroom leadership and product teams to align strategy and execution.
Plan and execute audience growth strategy on YouTube and other platforms.
Skills & Experience You Bring
Experience in a journalistic organization and understanding of ethics and standards.
Managing cross‑functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
Staying up‑to‑date on audience and revenue trends across platforms.
Excellent communication skills in writing and speaking.
Comfort with ambiguity and fast pace in a start‑up environment.
Generating analytics reports and expositing insights to inform content, audience, or revenue strategy.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience, including at least 5 years of leading and developing teams.
Building new media business or products from zero; lean operation and high growth.
Understanding of the creator economy and digital media industry.
Track record in building audience and monetization.
Experience working in a large media organization and convening stakeholders.
Identifying and hiring key talent for a start‑up enterprise.

The salary range for this position is
$172,300 - $320,100 Annual . The actual salary within this range will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
