Corporate Communications Coordinator
Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute invites applications for the Corporate Communications Coordinator role. This position supports internal and external communications initiatives, manages social media content, coordinates internal communications, and aligns teams with strategic goals.
Responsibilities
Write, edit, and distribute internal communications, including newsletters, announcements, SharePoint content, presentations, and leadership messaging.
Plan and execute internal events and campaigns that boost employee engagement and reinforce practice values.
Maintain communications calendars and archives for internal initiatives.
Provide communications support and content development during emergency response situations.
Plan, write, and publish engaging, original content for FCS social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) using Sprout Social.
Monitor social media channels for engagement, trends, and community feedback; respond as needed.
Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure brand consistency and voice across all platforms.
Support media outreach and press inquiries; write and edit press releases, media alerts, talking points, and public-facing materials in AP style.
Assist in planning and messaging for corporate events or leadership appearances.
Track media requests and approvals; manage communications and marketing projects from concept to execution.
Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, operations, and leadership to gather content, align messaging, and manage communications calendars.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or related field.
At least 2 to 4 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing, public relations, or social media role; healthcare experience preferred.
Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills across digital and traditional formats; proficiency in AP style.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and social media management tools (Sprout Social, Hootsuite). Knowledge of email platforms (Contact Monkey, Constant Contact) and media monitoring platforms (Cision, Meltwater) is a plus.
Experience with project management systems such as Wrike, Monday, Basecamp is a plus.
