Position Overview
Marketing & Sales Manager
reports to the Visit Winona Marketing Director and plays a key role in building and maintaining a strong and consistent brand through external and internal marketing channels. The Manager assists with partnership, group sales, and marketing strategies to meet organizational goals and partner objectives. The Manager cultivates strong, positive community relationships and community presence, acting as the main point of contact for events, partnership programs, advertising, and communications. Responsibilities
Flexibility to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends. Work location: In-Office at downtown Visitor Center with some remote time available as decided upon by employer. Manage and maintain our website with valuable and engaging content that attracts and converts our target groups. Coordinate the design and editing of marketing, group, and partnership collateral, resources and other promotional materials. Create content and schedules on social media platforms including: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube. Assist with the management and organization of successful marketing campaign components and own implementation from ideation to execution. Create and distribute monthly e-newsletters. Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals. Research and pursue new group & meeting market segments and opportunities for revenue generation. Create, plan and coordinate community events to boost the organization’s regional presence, generating leads and raising awareness. Assist in partnership, meetings, and event sales; take lead in outreach, communications and tracking. Manage the organization of all assets (photo folders, external drives, etc.). Create, maintain and distribute monthly marketing & events calendar. May be asked to perform additional duties as required. Excellent customer service skills for both internal and external audiences. Advanced computer skills and knowledge. Strong attention to detail and creativity with a focus on design, brand consistency, writing and editing. Ability to take direction and work independently, sometimes under deadline pressure. Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills. Qualifications
Degree or certificate in Marketing, Business, Journalism, Graphic Arts, Sales or related fields. 2‑3 years of relevant work experience. Experienced in networking, business development, social media platforms. Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta, Google Suite). A sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication. Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement tools. Other Requirements
Must be in possession of a current driver’s license and have access to a vehicle for work purposes. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Must be able to stand for extended periods. Benefits
