Responsibilities
Design the user experience on a range of projects
Build relationships and work strategically with executives, product managers, creative designers, researchers, technologists, and our brands
Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide user experience solutions and user research to meet the business needs
Create journey maps, wireframes, UI, specifications, audits, heuristic evaluations, taxonomy recommendations, task flows, and prototypes
Use a deep knowledge of design principles and human behavior to design exceptional frictionless experiences
Synthesize customer feedback, research, and analytics into actionable results
Uses skills as seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures
Resolve a wide range of issues in innovative and practical ways
Requirements
B.S./B.A. or higher in User Experience Design, Information Design, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or related fields
5-7 years of experience working in Ecommerce with deep understanding of what drives Ecommerce KPIs
Strong fundamentals on information and interaction design, fundamentals of UX (preferably from a relevant Degree)
Design experience in responsive web on complex websites (e.g., Ecommerce)
Design experience in iOS, native design conventions, and emerging technologies (WSI uses Swift but not necessary for this role)
Experience around ecommerce features, and/or home design/furniture space
Strong visual and interaction design (using Figma) (they use this for everything - design and prototyping)
Strong knowledge of user experience and research best practices and methodology
Customer focused with high quality standards
Demonstrates strong interpersonal, business communication and writing skills
Strong organizational skills to manage fast-paced schedule and project work
Comprehensive understanding of UX principles, practices and processes, and a track record of delivering UX solutions and value to product and engineering teams in a large-scale business
Creative and testing mindset
Must be flexible in approach, comfortable presenting to multiple levels of stakeholders
Proactive, high level of engagement, etc.
Natural curiosity & inquisitiveness
Experience with design systems highly desirable
Ability to work cross-team and synthesize input from multiple groups
Ability to juggle multiple priorities and effectively deliver in a fast-paced environment
Communication skills and collaborative
Understand what the stakeholders want and the design that they are looking for
