Base Pay and Contract Pay range: $60.00/hr - $90.00/hr

Job Overview Smart Plant S3D Designer/Engineer tasked with producing 3D designs for DOD and USAF projects. Supports engineering and manufacturing development phase of a major defense program aimed at modernizing the nuclear deterrent system.

Major Responsibilities

Model pipe, HVAC, and equipment in the Smart Plant S3D model environment.

Prepare drawings and documents for floor plans.

Coordinate 3D model activities, including interference reconciliation.

Interface with stress and pipe support engineers, construction, and suppliers.

Perform coordination review of specifications and other documents.

Apply knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and piping codes; use Smart Plant S3D and drawing generation.

Ensure designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards.

Participate in constructability reviews.

Levels 1 and 2 Summary Level 1: Leads or administers work of PD&P designers; develops design for complex PD&P systems; prepares material requisitions; monitors compliance with design standards.

Level 2: Plans, develops, coordinates, and reviews design work; produces drawings for earthwork, drainage, road design; ensures compliance with installation codes; coordinates with PD&P engineers and specialists.

Education and Experience Requirements

Level 1: AA/AS or certificate in Engineering/CAD with 7-8 years of experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.

Level 2: AA/AS or certificate in Engineering/CAD with 10-12 years of experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills

Hands‑on experience using Smart Plant S3D.

US Citizenship required (No Green Cards or TA Visas).

Must be able to pass the requirements to receive a secret clearance.

Previous DoD/DoE, USACE, NAVFAC, or USAF experience.
