Role Overview We’re looking for a

Retail Marketing Lead (Contract)

to provide coverage while our team member is on leave — someone who can step in and immediately bring structure, energy, and excellence to our in-store marketing efforts.

For roughly

three months , you’ll act as the operational backbone behind all in-market marketing initiatives: coordinating events, managing vendors, and ensuring activations run flawlessly from start to finish. You’ll work closely with the VP of Retail & Product Marketing to execute ongoing campaigns and keep momentum strong during this coverage period.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced retail or experiential marketer who thrives on operational precision and wants to make a measurable impact in a short time frame.

What You’ll Do Event Execution & Coordination

Manage logistics for in-store and near-store activations (asset delivery, staffing, compliance, vendor management).

Serve as the on-site or remote point of contact during events to ensure smooth execution.

Partner closely with store leadership to align retail and marketing priorities.

Systems & Process Management

Maintain campaign trackers, activation calendars, and vendor documents in Airtable and Google Drive.

Keep systems organized and ensure cross-functional teams have what they need to execute seamlessly.

Oversee day-to-day coordination with event vendors, brand partners, and suppliers.

Manage budgets, track invoices, and ensure deliverables are met within timelines.

Campaign Support

Support the translation of broader marketing programs into local activations that drive traffic and engagement.

Provide concise updates and post-event recaps, highlighting insights and improvements for future activations.

Compliance

Ensure all marketing and event activity adheres to NY State cannabis marketing regulations.

Partner with internal stakeholders to maintain compliance throughout every activation.

What You Bring

2–4 years of experience in event coordination, retail operations, experiential marketing, or hospitality.

Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple campaigns at once.

Financial acumen — able to track and forecast spend confidently.

Excellent communicator who thrives in fast-moving environments.

Familiarity with Airtable, Google Drive, and Slack.

A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and comfort making decisions independently.

(Bonus) Experience in cannabis, alcohol, or other regulated industries.

Why This Role? This is a

short-term, high-impact role

ideal for someone who enjoys jumping into a fast-paced environment and leaving systems stronger than they found them. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across event production, compliance, vendor management, and retail marketing — all while helping sustain momentum for a brand that’s redefining cannabis culture in New York City.

If you love bringing order to creative chaos, can keep projects running smoothly without missing a beat, and want to play a key part in shaping meaningful customer experiences — even for a season — we’d love to meet you.
