Job Description RIOS is an international design collective dedicated to creating wonder within the built environment. We believe design is an act of optimism that fosters invention and ideas capable of changing the world. Our practice involves interconnected design across architecture, placemaking, and landscape architecture, viewing design as a continuum.
We follow a process that begins with attunement, where program and context shape strong conceptual thinking to establish a holistically informed big idea through which we develop form, confirm function, and define experience. We explore ecology, material, and tectonic expression, aiming for bold, inclusive, and resilient solutions that incorporate diverse perspectives.
We are seeking an experienced interior design professional to assist and develop design solutions on multiple projects. The ideal candidate should possess a strong aesthetic sense and be capable of implementing a project’s vision from concept through completion via critical thinking, iteration, inclusive communication, and creative problem solving.
Candidate Skills
Strong design skills and a passion for creativity
Strong organizational skills
Self-motivation, flexibility, and resourcefulness
Experience with construction documents and specifications
Construction administration experience
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external clients
Strong communication skills
Submission of sample work: drawings (furniture plans, millwork elevations), completed work (installation photos), and client presentation pages for FF&A from past projects
Requirements
Bachelor’s or certificate in Interior Design or Bachelor of Architecture
3-5 years of experience, preferably in an interior design studio
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Experience with Revit, Bluebeam, Miro preferred
High-end residential experience
Knowledge of FF&A processes and vendors
Los Angeles local knowledge and familiarity with local showrooms/vendors preferred
