Our client is seeking a Designer I - Pedestrian Circulation to support clients, consultants, and project teams by developing design solutions, simulation layouts, and 3D models. This role involves integrating architectural and structural data into pedestrian circulation simulations, providing technical expertise in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam. The ideal candidate will have strong Revit skills and experience working with architectural drawings, simulation modeling, and data interpretation. Attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively are essential. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam to create and refine pedestrian circulation designs and simulations. Build 3D simulation models and develop code to produce results for presentations and reports. Coordinate project design and drawing delivery with Project Managers. Adjust and update designs based on client and consultant feedback. Work closely with consultants, architects, and project teams to integrate design specifications. Download and analyze architectural drawings, updating teams on design changes and potential issues. Interpret simulation data and apply findings to design tasks. Document and organize project data, client communications, and design modifications. Assist in field studies and data collection for pedestrian motion analysis. Maintain project schedules and ensure deadlines are met. What You'll Bring:
Minimum Associate Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Architecture, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred). Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Revit. Experience with AutoCAD and 3D software. Familiarity with scripting, programming, and simulation programs (one year of programming experience preferred). Understanding of physics-based dynamic software (similar to fluid dynamics software). Experience in architectural drafting and coordination. Knowledge of pedestrian motion, logistics, or building flow is a plus. Strong technical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and interpret simulation results. Effective communication of technical concepts with team members and clients. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to shifting project priorities. Compensation & Benefits:
