Overview
Product Designer - Oklahoma City, OK As a Product Designer at Paycom, you will take a central role in creating design solutions for our software that align with our design principles of simple, consistent, automated and intuitive and align with our long-term vision and business objectives. Your responsibilities will include designing interfaces for both existing and new screens across web and mobile applications. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will create high-quality mockups that adhere to Paycom's design standards, ensuring a cohesive and user-friendly experience.
Responsibilities
Create high-level design concepts that translate users' needs into practical layouts, typography and visual hierarchies, ensuring alignment with the intended design vision.
Design components or patterns within existing design systems and style guides to solve user needs and build cohesiveness of the Paycom experience.
Partner with product managers and development teams to shape product direction and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Build upon existing design systems and create mock-ups that maintain a consistent Paycom experience.
Use research data and design principles to inform design choices.
Plan and participate in usability testing, analyze findings and iterate based on user feedback.
Balance workloads to ensure timely project delivery and participate in complex problem solving with the team.
Other duties as assigned.
Education/Certification
High school diploma or GED
Experience
2+ years of experience in design, including multi-platform applications, product, graphic design, digital media, or related
Portfolio required for review before interview
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in art, computer science or a technical field
Skills/Abilities: Data-informed design, information architecture, user flows and cross-platform flows
Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
Knowledge of mobile interface design across multiple operating systems and HTML/CSS
Self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision
