The team is hiring a Director of Projects to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple fibre deployment initiatives. The role will focus on strategic leadership, stakeholder management, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:
Lead, develop, monitor, and implement project plans, budgets, times, resource and team management for complex network infrastructure initiatives
Identify and resolve bottleneck issues while working with multiple departments and outside vendors
Oversee network security implementation including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls
Manage network monitoring, performance optimization, capacity planning, and troubleshoot complex network issues, along with providing escalation support
Create and maintain network documentation, procedures, disaster recovery plans, and present updates to senior leadership
Lead and mentor a team of network engineers and technicians. This includes performance reviews and assigning tasks to ensure optimal productivity and team utilization
Manage network equipment purchases, maintain inventory, track assets, negotiate contracts, and create budgets
Document policies and procedures, support cybersecurity teams, ensure compliance with all company regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency and team productivity
Requirements:
Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
7+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
5+ years of team leadership and project management experience
Experience with current networking technologies: Switches (VLANs, STP, LACP), Routers, and Firewalls (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Checkpoint)
Expert knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), wireless networking (802.11 standards, controller-based systems), and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, hybrid connectivity)
Proficiency with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Kentik)
Must have current CCNP and PMP certifications
Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, manufacturing) with compliance requirements
Previous experience with network transformation or cloud migration projects
Knowledge of network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible)
Experience with SD-WAN technologies
Certification for AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud networking certifications
CCIE (Routing & Switching, Security, or Service Provider), CCNP Enterprise, or Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer)
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
On-call availability for critical network incidents and emergency situations
Willingness and ability to travel as needed
Willingness and ability to work after regularly scheduled hours as needed
Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods working on a computer (4 to 8 hours)
Ability to operate the equipment used for the job
Ability to lift 15 pounds at times
