KGO - Meteorologist/Weather Anchor (Daily Hire) The Walt Disney Company is seeking an accredited meteorologist or experienced weather anchor for KGO-TV/ABC7, the ABC-owned television station serving San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose. The meteorologist/weather anchor will produce and present daily weather forecasts for newscasts, as well as create forecasts for digital and social platforms and the KGO-TV/ABC7 24/7 live stream. This is a freelance/daily hire position. Shifts will be weekday or weekend mornings or evenings, depending on staff vacations. Position is covered under SAG-AFTRA – KGO-TV Newspersons Agreement. Pay Rate: $415 per day. Responsibilities Producing and presenting on-air forecasts Digital- writing and building graphics for forecasts, social media Basic Qualifications Knowledge of the San Francisco Bay Area Preferred Qualifications Prior experience reporting weather on-air. Candidates should have a solid resume reel showing superior on-camera presentation. Required Education Bachelor’s degree Meteorology degree Preferred Certification AMS Seal Benefits The pay rate for this role in San Francisco, CA is $415 per day.
