Technical Illustrator (PT, Independent Contractor)

Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior Technical Illustrator to support our growing customer base. The ideal candidate will thrive in dynamic environments, proactively applying their expertise to learn and adapt to evolving client needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop a variety of technical illustrations for operation, maintenance, repair, and user/installation manuals for a wide range of industrial and consumer products.
• Create product illustrations, working with mechanical/engineering drawings and modifying existing graphics.
• Use tools such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
• Apply layout and graphic design skills.
• Use animation tools where applicable.

Experience & Skills

• U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Technical Illustration.
• Experience developing illustrations for various documentation types.
• Ability to interpret product information and convey it clearly for end users.
• 2+ years experience with SolidWorks Composer, ISO Draw or CAD, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat Professional.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven success prioritizing and delivering projects across multiple clients.
• Experience in a client‑facing capacity.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail.
• Animation experience.

Compensation
