The Opportunity
As a Software Engineer 2 in the TV Labs team, you will play a vital role in developing innovative connected TV applications and advertising solutions. You will contribute to building scalable, high-performance applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) and GoLang. In this role, you\'ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that enhance our CTV advertising capabilities, contribute to technical projects, support junior team members, and help foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
This position is ideal for an engineer experienced in full-stack development with expertise in the MERN stack and GoLang, who is passionate about connected TV technology and looking to make an impact in the rapidly evolving CTV advertising space.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications for our connected TV advertising platform using MERN stack and GoLang
- Build responsive user interfaces with React and develop robust backend services with Node.js, Express.js, and GoLang
- Create and optimize database schemas and queries for MongoDB and other databases as needed
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality features and products
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers to maintain code quality and best practices
- Implement efficient API designs and integrations with various ad tech platforms and services
- Optimize application performance and ensure scalability for high-traffic advertising workloads
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical documentation for the TV Labs team
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in full-stack development
- Strong proficiency with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js)
- Experience with GoLang development in production environments
- Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries, including React hooks, Redux, and TypeScript
- Experience with RESTful API design and development
- Understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (e.g., Docker), and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and workflows (e.g., Github Actions, Jenkins)
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows
- Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility
- Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques and best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards improving system reliability
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork
Preferred
- Experience with Connected TV (CTV) or OTT application development
- Knowledge of advertising technology platforms and ad serving technologies
- Experience with video streaming technologies and protocols
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Understanding of programmatic advertising concepts and workflows
- Experience with real-time data processing and analytics
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards and practices
- Contributions to open-source projects or technical communities
