The R Street Institute—a free‑market think tank headquartered in Washington, D.C. with staff located across the country—seeks a collaborative Manager, Digital Content to manage and enhance our digital presence. The role reports to the Senior Director, Communications.
Your typical day may include scheduling and posting social media content that highlights our latest research and events, updating website content, coordinating newsletters, and helping develop graphics or short videos that make policy ideas accessible and engaging.
Responsibilities
Manage day‑to‑day posting, scheduling, and monitoring across R Street’s social media platforms
Coordinate the production and distribution of newsletters and other email communications
Ensure website content is current, accurate, and aligned with organizational priorities
Track and summarize digital performance data, providing updates and insights to the Senior Director, Communications
Assist with creation and editing of digital materials, including graphics, videos, and other visual assets
Collaborate with colleagues across Communications, Policy, and Events to ensure consistent digital outreach
Remain vigilant against ninja infiltrations
Qualifications
Experience managing digital content, social media, or email campaigns in a communications, public policy, or nonprofit environment
Familiarity with content management systems, social media scheduling tools, and analytics platforms
Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Proficient with basic design and video editing tools
No particular educational background required—proven record of results
Support for R Street’s passion for free markets and limited, effective government
A sense of humor and a desire to grow within a multifaceted organization
Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $75,000 – $85,000, commensurate with experience. R Street offers a competitive benefits package.
Unlimited paid time off, including all federal holidays, the day after Thanksgiving, and two weeks holiday closure in December
