Job Description
The Assistant Director, Enrollment Marketing will report to the Director of Marketing & Communication in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. This individual supports the Office of Undergraduate Admissions through assisting with the creation of a year-long, multi-platform communication plan that moves students along the admissions funnel from prospect through enrollment. By leveraging digital communication, social media engagement, direct-to-home mailers, and university events this role provides vital support in helping the university meet its enrollment goals. By promoting UAlbany's resources and opportunities to incoming first-year and transfer students and their families this role works to strengthen UAlbany's brand recognition and attract students who will thrive at our institution.
Primary Responsibilities
- Slate mailings and building of admission events for registration pages and promotion
- Updating/creating digital marketing assets for social media, email campaigns, and online promotions
- Social Media content curation and reporting on engagement analytics
- Communications industry research and reporting on the progress of team's multiplatform communication strategies
- Other reasonable duties as assigned (assisting with mailings, counselor travel preparation, campus signage, etc.)
Functional and Supervisory Relationships
- Reports to and collaborates with the Director for Marketing and Communications for Undergraduate Admissions.
- May supervise student employees/interns
Ancillary Responsibilities
- Demonstrate understanding and support of the admissions cycle and be able to adjust communication plans based on in-real-time data.
- Content writing and copy-editing marketing materials for admissions counselors travel and campus visitors.
- Digital communication, writing for targeted and diverse audiences via direct emails, social media advertising, and vendor management.
- Website development of content and design to support the students experience through the admissions cycle.
- Social media content construction and reporting to leverage @UAlbanyBound engaging with prospective incoming students and families.
- In-person support for university events welcoming families to campus, assisting with wayfinding, AV support for presentation spaces, coordinating admissions give-away stations, and planning video and photo coverage.
- Work with Office of Communications and Marketing on multimedia projects, in-person meetings that sometimes require travel on campus.
- Creativity in design and content of marketing assets via digital platforms such as Canva and InDesign.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
- 2-3 years of experience in marketings and/or communications, i.e. social media branding, targeted audience outreach, event communications.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
Working Environment
- Typical office environment with office desk, chair, and typical technology suite.

Professional Rank and Salary Grade: Assistant Director, Enrollment Marketing, SL3, $60,000
