Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in a technical, UX, or design setting, or related experience. Preferred qualifications

Experience with Generative AI technologies, especially large language models (LLMs) and coding models. Experience in software development for the Android ecosystem. Experience building or contributing to developer tools, IDEs (especially for IntelliJ/Android Studio or VS Code), plugins, or command-line interfaces. Experience in building full-stack interactive prototypes. Experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Svelte) and back-end development (e.g., Python, Node.js). The AIR SWE Agents team in the AI Innovation and Research (AIR) organization focuses on developing SWE agents that leverage advances in multimodal AI and coding models to revolutionize how we develop software for Platforms and Devices, reducing toil for developers globally. The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's computing platforms across desktop, mobile, and applications, as well as our devices and services that combine Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams research, design, and develop technologies to make user interaction faster and more seamless, delivering innovative experiences worldwide. Salary : The US base salary range for this full-time position is $178,000-$265,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, pay is influenced by location and job-related skills, experience, and education. Your recruiter can share the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process. Collaborate with a cross-functional team of researchers, product managers, and software engineers to conceptualize and rapidly build a wide range of interactive prototypes that explore novel user experiences for AI-powered software development. Design and build prototypes for new IDE integrations, standalone agentic UIs, and other tools to assist developers throughout the SDLC, from concept explorations to scalable versions. Effectively communicate and demonstrate prototypes to a wide range of stakeholders, articulating the underlying technology and user value. Partner with product and engineering teams across P&D (e.g., Android Studio, Chrome Dev Tools) to translate futuristic concepts into actionable steps, influencing roadmaps with tangible, working demos.
