Overview Mailchimp’s website is our most critical growth channel, serving as the front door for millions of small businesses worldwide. We’re seeking a data-driven, strategic marketing leader to transform our global web presence into a powerful conversion engine. This isn’t about maintaining the status quo — it’s about architecting the future of how we acquire and convert new customers online.

You will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of web experiences that turn prospects into loyal, paying customers, while shaping Mailchimp’s long-term vision for digital growth.

Responsibilities

Conversion Strategy: Define and lead a comprehensive roadmap for website optimization, experimentation (A/B, multivariate, personalization), and funnel design aimed at increasing trial sign-ups, qualified sales leads, and average order values of newly acquired customers.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead a dedicated squad of Product, Design, Engineering, and Analytics partners, rallying them around high-impact experiments that improve performance. Influence senior stakeholders across Marketing and Product to align on growth priorities.

Data-Driven Insights: Go beyond surface-level metrics. Uncover actionable insights about user behavior, traffic patterns, and conversion funnels, translating them into business opportunities.

Strategic Collaboration: Serve as the central hub for web acquisition. Partner closely with Paid Media, SEO, Product Marketing, and Content to deliver seamless, high-performing customer journeys from first click to conversion.

Business Impact: Champion a test-and-learn culture. Tie all initiatives directly to growth outcomes by owning customer acquisition and revenue targets.

Coaching & Mentorship (optional): Elevate the craft of experimentation by mentoring cross-functional partners and evangelizing CRO best practices.

Qualifications

5+ years in web marketing, digital growth, or CRO roles, with a clear track record of improving conversion rates and driving revenue through a B2B or B2C website (SaaS experience is a major plus).

Deep expertise with web analytics, experimentation platforms, and content management systems (CMS).

Strategic thinker with business-owner mindset: skilled at shaping roadmaps, influencing stakeholders, and translating complex data into a clear vision.

Exceptional communicator and collaborator who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.

A builder who thrives in ambiguity, proactively mapping out solutions and testing bold ideas.
