Passion for Life (P4L) – 501(c)(3) Passion for Life is a 501c nonprofit dedicated to helping high school students identify their passions and create plans to turn them into rewarding careers.

We are a youth workforce development organization serving under‑resourced and at‑risk youths who have limited access to technology, financing, and professional networks. Passion for Life is committed to providing a secure and nurturing environment where underserved youths can be seen, heard, and believed.

Through our innovative, experiential‑based Finding Passion Workshops, Investigative Coaching, and Career Readiness Training programs, youths increase self‑confidence, gain insight into strengths and passions, and develop actionable career plans aligned with core values and personal vision.

Founded in 2009, we serve over 200 youths annually.

Responsibilities

Develop high‑energy, fun interactive workshops and summer camp curriculum to create creative experiential learning.

Create instructional materials for facilitators and coaches; materials include classes, student guides, training manuals, teaching guides, and videos.

Research and identify learning activities and technologies to incorporate into training programs.

Collaborate closely with the curriculum development team and the training delivery team.

Assist with needs analysis by collecting and organizing feedback on existing training programs and materials.

Required Skills

Creative and innovative mindset.

Passion for creating unique learning experiences for youth.

Background in learning/teaching, instructional design, or curriculum development.

Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and ambiguous situations.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Computer proficiency; Google Suite experience (Docs, Slides, Sheets) is nice to have.

Experiences

Development: 6 months designing and developing curriculum, teaching materials, or learning content.

Knowledge of Instructional Design Theories and Models; familiarity with ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy, etc.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher (nice to have). A Junior or Senior pursuing a relevant Bachelor’s is required.

Knowledge of Instructional Design principles for adult learning and K‑12; familiarity with ADDIE, SAM, Bloom’s Taxonomy.

Additional Information

Time Commitment: 8‑10 hours a week for a minimum of 3 months.

Must attend mandatory weekly and monthly virtual meetings.
