Experience working on large events and projects that require cross-functional collaboration. Experience working with senior leaders and developing their external presence across traditional and new media channels. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. About The Job
As a member of the Global Communications and Public Affairs team, you will work cross-functionally to help develop external and at times internal communication materials. In this role, you will work with the product teams to advise on go-to-market strategy, engage in face-to-face meetings with commentators, press, and other opinion formers; and counter misinformation that might interfere with business. You will be working to support Google Labs, the home for Google's latest experimental AI products that will help shape the future of technology. The goal of labs is to explore the frontier of AI out in the open, so that we can solicit feedback from the experts and the public, and responsibly scale these technologies into the products people use everyday. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000-$157,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Develop an external communications strategy for key Google Labs experiments, partnering with leaders to ensure the product ideas are communicated to the appropriate audience. Secure media coverage for key Google Labs experiments, with a focus on non-traditional media. Act as a media spokesperson, communicating the user benefits of products and key messages to the press and creators. Establish relationships with internal leadership, key media partners, and influencers. Represent the interests and concerns of key external stakeholders during product strategy meetings. Develop knowledge on Google Labs experiments, understanding all considerations from product-market fit to security and privacy considerations.
