As the mobile team we are shaping the future of the QuickBooks accounting mobile app designed to enable mobile-only users run their business through AI powered business tools, payments, and financial management. We are also the owners of the mobile native design system with an exciting charter to strengthen our platform capabilities and deliver delightful and durable end-to-end experiences, enabling small businesses achieve financial growth and prosper, and expand our presence globally.
Responsibilities
Use mobile-first thinking and deep platform knowledge to solve complex user problems through clean, responsive, and emotionally resonant design including AI and agentic experiences on mobile.
Own end-to-end experiences and ensure consistency of patterns, flows, and mental models across them. Lead key design initiatives from concept to delivery, crafting wireframes, visual designs, prototypes, and interaction models informed by customer insights and platform capabilities.
Conduct customer research and ground decisions in research, behavioral data, and market/industry insights.
Translate strategic goals into measurable design outcomes, advocating for accessibility, data personalization, and inclusive experiences. Collaborate closely with PMs, engineers, marketing, and data scientists.
Leverage data and analytical tools to guide tests and innovations within design projects.
Mentor others in design critiques, offering actionable feedback across interaction, visual, and motion design while using facilitative leadership to drive outcomes for stakeholders.
Qualifications
9+ years of interface design experience delivering high-volume, high-profile, or award-winning mobile products or experiences
Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction Design, or related fields; Master’s preferred, or equivalent work experience
Deep understanding of native mobile interaction patterns, accessibility standards, and platform-specific guidelines (HIG/Material Design)
Proven ability to deliver elegant, data-informed mobile experiences balancing user needs and business goals
Strong knowledge of user experience methods, prototyping, design frameworks, and motion design for mobile
Experience leading product experiences from strategy to execution including layout, typography, iconography, color theory, and composition
Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills; ability to manage multiple complex projects
Expertise with industry-leading design tools and familiarity with AI and Gen AI platforms
Strong online portfolio available for viewing
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay-for-performance rewards approach. This position is eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits in accordance with applicable plans and programs. Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender to drive ongoing pay equity.
Location and Job Details Mountain View, CA • Bay Area: $179,500 - $243,000 (base) with eligibility for bonus and equity
