Senior Manager, Performance Marketing at Athena. The role is to take full ownership of paid growth for the B2B-oriented demand side of the business. Build the architecture around paid media: strategy, process, team, and tools. Manage paid acquisition across platforms (Meta, Google, LinkedIn, emerging channels) and grow a team to scale it. Lead channel mix, creative testing, performance tracking, and budget allocation with a focus on driving volume and improving CAC. Collaborate with CRO, Lifecycle, Marketing, and Sales to ensure paid traffic converts, qualifies, and closes; help scale demand generation efficiently and measurably. What You’ll Do

Channel Ownership: Own and operate all paid acquisition channels (Meta, Google, LinkedIn, emerging channels) with full accountability for performance and budget. Strategy & Planning: Set the roadmap for channel mix, creative strategy, and spend allocation based on performance goals and business priorities. Team Building: Recruit and lead a high-performance team of media buyers, agency partners, and channel specialists as we scale. Creative Collaboration: Partner with in-house and freelance designers and copywriters to develop high-performing ad creative; align media plans with Sales objectives and ABM priorities. Data & Insights: Monitor channel performance, cohort quality, and funnel metrics using tools like HubSpot, GA4, and other data tools; work with internal stakeholders to close the loop from spend to pipeline to revenue to retention. Testing & Iteration: Run structured, ongoing experiments across platforms, audiences, copy, and landing pages to increase quality lead velocity and LTV/CAC. Pipeline Forecasting: Contribute to demand forecasts and ensure pacing aligns with growth goals for lead and closed-won targets. Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Marketing, RevOps, CRO, Lifecycle, Data, and Sales to ensure tight handoffs and feedback loops across the funnel. Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and channel innovations within B2B paid media to identify opportunities and drive growth. Qualifications

7+ years in a performance marketing or growth role, ideally in a high-growth B2B or tech environment. Proven track record managing multi-million dollar ad budgets across multiple channels. Experience building or leading teams, either in-house or via agency/vendor partnerships. Familiarity with cross-functional work across Growth, Marketing, RevOps, Sales, Data, Tech, and Product Marketing. Paid Media Expertise: Deep knowledge of performance marketing across major B2B and B2C channels, with a track record of optimizing for both scale and efficiency and experience running ABM campaigns. Strategic & Systems Thinking: Designs scalable growth systems with clear feedback loops across creative, targeting, spend, and funnel. Creative Performance Instincts: Skilled at developing hypotheses and briefs that lead to effective creative across formats and placements. Data Fluency: Comfortable interpreting cohort analysis, lead scoring models, funnel reporting, and attribution tools to make decisions. Experimentation/Growth Mindset: You test fast, learn quickly, and build systems to scale what works. Leadership & Communication: Strong communicator who can align stakeholders and manage channel owners or external teams. Technical Marketing Infrastructure: Understanding of tracking, pixels, UTM structures, CRM integrations, and attribution logic. Nice to Have

Familiarity with leveraging AI tools to build scalable campaign systems and automate tasks. Hands-on experience with HubSpot. Familiarity with attribution modeling, MMM, or LTV-based optimization. Basic understanding of SQL or BI tools to access and analyze performance data. Benefits
