Save Job

Let’s be real, AI isn’t magic; Legion was built to move beyond AI hype—delivering secure, reliable systems that work alongside the people tackling the world’s most critical challenges.

Born from a Department of Defense partnership and trusted by leaders across government and enterprise, Legion embeds intelligence inside complex systems, unlocking data, accelerating human workflows, and strengthening mission‑critical systems. We don’t replace workflows—we optimize them, ensuring quality, efficiency, and reliability inside the platforms our partners already use.

With world‑class collaborators like Nvidia, HPE, and Oracle, we’re building intelligent infrastructure that enhances human capability and drives impact at the edge and across a range of enterprises.

We’re looking for bold thinkers and doers to join us in shaping the future of AI that’s secure, grounded, and built to work.

Role Overview As a Staff Product Designer / Design Lead at Legion, you'll help shape the next generation of AI‑powered enterprise experiences. You'll work closely with engineering and product leadership to drive the UX of our platform, contribute to strategic product direction, and develop reusable systems that make our design practice efficient and scalable. You should be equally comfortable defining UX patterns and information architecture from scratch, shipping end‑to‑end product experiences, and prototyping experiences to tighten the fit between design and implementation.

This is a hands‑on role with the opportunity to shape Legion’s design culture from the ground up. Working in a novel space like AI is incredibly rewarding, but it brings with it interesting challenges. The right candidate brings strong opinions and a hunger for experimentation and iteration, and works with UX Engineers to shape the systems, guardrails, and practices that let engineering teams consistently fall into success even when the path isn’t perfectly designed.

Responsibilities

Lead the design of intuitive, performant, and elegant user experiences across Legion’s platform

Continue development of our design system to support consistency, scalability, and speed of delivery

Collaborate deeply with frontend engineering to continue evolving our component libraries and shared patterns

Translate complex AI workflows into predictable, trustworthy, and explainable UX

Serve as a design partner in strategic product conversations and roadmap planning

Prototype and validate ideas using tools like Figma, Storybook, or code‑based prototypes

Maintain high quality in both visual design and UX execution across projects

Act as a player‑coach: hands‑on with design work while supporting team rituals and processes

Help establish design best practices that integrate with Legion's engineering‑led culture
