Department: The Media Production Specialist supports the Center for New Media by producing high-quality video and multimedia content for CT State campaigns, academic departments, and college leadership. The role ensures the technical, creative, and brand standards required for public-facing media. This position works independently to deliver impactful visual communication while managing multiple projects on tight timelines. Salary and Benefits

Starting Salary: Minimum Salary range: $50,891 to $54,299, approximate annual, plus excellent State of CT medical insurance, retirement, and related fringe benefits. Salary will be based on qualifications, education, experience, and internal equity. End-to-end media production for CT State and departmental needs Ensure technical quality, brand alignment, and accessibility of video content Coordinate with stakeholders and manage production schedules In addition to listed accountabilities, the incumbent may be required to carry out attendance and participation at convocation and commencement ceremonies; service on assigned committees and task forces; and attendance at meetings, which may occur in the evenings or on weekends. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree in a related field, together with up to three (3) years of related experience, or a combination of education, training, and experience that would lead to the competencies required for successful performance of the position’s essential duties. Demonstrated advanced knowledge and abilities in: Video production, editing, and multimedia storytelling Adobe Creative Suite and digital asset management systems Time management and independent project execution Candidates must possess proven ability to work with culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, and IT literacy (e.g., Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing multiple media projects with strong time management and organizational skills Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition) Experience with inclusive media practices (accessibility standards, captioning, transcription, etc.) Ability to shoot, edit, and deliver high-quality video content across platforms Required Applications and Selection
