Overview
The Design Manager is responsible for guiding projects through all phases of the design process—ensuring alignment with client vision, budget, and timeline while upholding design quality and profitability. Reporting to the Account Director and Senior Project Director, this role supports Project Managers in coordinating design teams, facilitating design reviews, and incorporating stakeholder feedback. Ideal candidates will have a background in architecture, at least 5 years of experience, and a strong understanding of construction documents and design sequencing. Responsibilities
Design Manager will ensure that the design aligns with the client\'s vision, budget, and timeline while maintaining design quality and project profitability. The Design Manager is responsible for assisting the Project Manager with planning, managing, and coordinating all phases of the design process until construction procurement. The Design Manager reports to the Account Director and Senior Project Director. The Design Manager may assist Project Managers to identify user groups and important decision makers on the project. The Design Manager may conduct on-site evaluations and assist Project Managers to develop project scope of work documents. The Design Manager may maintain and update the Design Guidelines as required. Design Managers ensure all relevant existing drawings, standards, and design documents are distributed to procured A/E teams. The Design Manager will facilitate and track the design review process at each phase of design. Design review includes thorough QA/QC review of the design drawings at each milestone. The Design Manager will also ensure user group and CMaR feedback is incorporated in the design drawings while managing multiple clients’ expectations. Benefits
