Overview
Dalton is seeking a talented and driven communications professional to join our public relations and communications team as an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager, depending on experience. This individual will lead or support the creation and implementation of strategic public relations initiatives across multiple clients. The ideal candidate will have strong agency experience, exceptional writing and media relations skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts with confidence and creativity.
Healthcare experience is a plus.
This role requires a self-starter who can think strategically, execute effectively and build trusted relationships with clients and media. Must be in-office, Atlanta based . This is not a remote position. What you\'ll do in the role
Serve as primary or supporting day-to-day contact with clients, providing strategic counsel and proactive communication Develop and execute comprehensive PR plans that align with client goals Lead or support annual strategy, planning and reporting efforts Consistently generate earned media coverage through targeted pitching and strong reporter relationships Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and key stakeholders in relevant industries Lead or support client events such as press conferences, community meetings, and media tours, including logistics, messaging and media outreach Draft and edit compelling press materials, talking points and content with minimal revision needed Anticipate potential challenges and proactively identify creative solutions Manage account activity, timelines and budgets (for Senior-level candidates, includes oversight of billing and junior team members) Serve as an agency ambassador by identifying new business opportunities and supporting cross-functional collaboration What you\'ll bring to the role
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications or a related field 3–7 years of experience in public relations, public affairs or communications
(agency experience strongly preferred) Proven ability to generate meaningful media results and build strong media relationships Excellent writing, editing and presentation skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving and client relationship management skills Demonstrated leadership and mentoring ability (for Senior-level candidates) Healthcare industry experience a plus Flexible work schedule with remote work one day per week (4 days in office, 1 day remote) Dog-friendly office; Bring your Bestie to work!
