We are seeking a Managing Editor to shape and guide this narrative with the precision of a seasoned luxury magazine editor and the creativity of an inspired storyteller. This role blends editorial rigor with a keen visual sensibility at the intersection of content creation, brand vision, and cultural conversation. Role Overview The Managing Editor will oversee the editorial direction, content production, and publishing schedule for WearstlerWorld. You will commission and collaborate with top-tier writers, photographers, and creative contributors, shepherding projects from concept to final publication. This role requires close collaboration with Kelly and the studio team to ensure every piece reflects the brand’s voice, aesthetic, and vision. The position demands a confident editor who is fluent in the language of luxury, deeply attuned to cultural and design trends, and skilled at translating conceptual ideas into immersive editorial experiences. Key Responsibilities

Develop and oversee the WearstlerWorld editorial calendar, ensuring a steady cadence of high-quality, brand-aligned stories Conceptualize and pitch feature ideas that span design, travel, architecture, interiors, industrial design, art, and culture Commission, brief, and edit work from freelance writers, photographers, and other creative contributors Ensure all content meets brand standards for tone, quality, and visual integration Content Production & Project Management

Manage multiple stories in production simultaneously, from ideation to final delivery Collaborate with in-house designers, marketing, and digital teams to ensure content is visually compelling and optimized for publication Coordinate with external contributors on deadlines, deliverables, and editorial direction Align Substack editorial output with broader brand initiatives and other communication channels Brand Stewardship

Maintain and evolve the WearstlerWorld editorial voice in alignment with the Kelly Wearstler brand ethos Monitor cultural, design, and luxury market trends to ensure content remains relevant and distinctive Work closely with Kelly to refine story concepts, ensuring her creative vision is woven into the editorial narrative Qualifications & Experience

5–7 years of editorial experience within a design, culture, lifestyle, or luxury-focused publication or brand Strong portfolio of published work that demonstrates a command of luxury storytelling and visual pairing Proven ability to commission and manage top-tier creative talent Exceptional editing skills with a meticulous eye for grammar, clarity, and tone Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects with tight deadlines Deep understanding of visual culture and the integration of imagery with narrative Familiarity with digital publishing tools and platforms (experience with Substack a plus) Attributes for Success
