Location:
This role is remote and open to candidates based in Illinois or Missouri, with a preference for those located near the Greater St. Louis metropolitan area.

Responsibilities
Promotes and sells all CNA Surety products and services.
Conducts regular sales calls to all agencies in assigned territory to manage and enhance relationships and brand loyalty with goal of increased business retention and new premium growth.
Obtains and reports agency and market intelligence, and other market trends in the assigned territory. Collaborates with Underwriting on market alignment, sales and marketing plans, and other opportunities with goal of premium growth in territory.
Achieves premium and growth goals for the assigned territory.
Prospects for new agency appointments or other business opportunities in the territory.
Educates and trains agencies on automation services such as Portal/bonddLINEDirect Bill and ePay.
Monitors and reports on legislative activities that may affect operations of the company.
Assist with accounts receivable collections in the territory.
Skills, Knowledge And Abilities
Solid knowledge of insurance industry practices as it applies to business development and determining business opportunity.
Ability to produce outstanding sales results.
Solid verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners.
Creativity in resolving issues and problems.
Ability to work independently and remotely in the assigned territory to achieve results with limited supervision.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as other business-related software.
Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Typically a minimum of five years experience in sales and/or marketing.
In certain jurisdictions, CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. In District of Columbia, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $54,000 to $103,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
