$27.00/hr - $43.00/hr The Stewardship Communications Specialist strengthens donor trust and loyalty by crafting high-value, donor-centered communications that emphasize the impact of philanthropy on patients, families, and communities. This role focuses on delivering content that makes donors feel like valued insiders while ensuring they see and feel the impact of their generosity and support. Reporting to the Stewardship Manager, this position develops compelling stories, leads donor impact reporting, and ensures all donor communications are strategic, timely, and aligned with the Intermountain Foundation’s philanthropic priorities, brand, and voice. This position will require exceptional writing and proofreading skills and a strong understanding of nonprofit work, preferably in healthcare. It is preferred that the candidate also have experience working in Raiser’s Edge NXT or other nonprofit CRM. This position is a hybrid position with required office days being Tuesday and Wednesday. Essential Functions
Lead the creation and delivery of powerful, engaging, and creative donor communications that strengthen donor relationships and connect supporters more deeply to the Foundation’s mission. Deliverables include, but are not limited to donor impact reports, endowment reports, donor newsletters, talking points, briefs, acknowledgments letters, and digital and social assets. Develop creative storytelling approaches to showcase the impact of philanthropic efforts and inspire continued donor engagement, and build and manage a dynamic editorial pipeline, consistently generating fresh, meaningful story ideas that align with enterprise priorities. Proactively identify opportunities to engage donors with organizational news, milestones, initiatives, success stories, and major announcements to ensure donor communications are timely and relevant. Coordinate scheduling and logistics for content reviews, approvals, and project timeline; establish standards for content quality and execution; stay current on trends and best practices in philanthropy communications and donor stewardship to continuously elevate content and strategy. Research, draft, proofread, and edit content with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring clarity, quality, and professionalism. Support the Foundation’s communications calendar, ensuring strategic timing and coordination across all donor touchpoints and teams. Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing & Communications, Media Relations, Foundation teams, and other internal partners to source and elevate compelling stories, ensuring all donor-facing communications are brand-aligned, accurate, and consistent in tone, style, and message. Monitor performance and gather feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of donor communications and refine approaches as needed. Skills

Manual dexterity of hands and fingers, which includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, English, journalism, or related field with an emphasis on writing or equivalent years of experience. Proven experience in donor communications and philanthropy-focused storytelling. Demonstrated experience with donor impact reporting, stewardship, communications, and engagement strategies. Understanding of philanthropy, with the ability to turn complex information into inspiring donor messages. Working knowledge of digital and print communication tools, including email marketing, websites, social media, with a focus on donor engagement. Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar platforms for donor email campaigns and digital engagement. Experience with project management tools to manage communications, calendars, tasks, and deliverables. Background in healthcare philanthropy or working with nonprofit fundraising teams. Familiar with visual storytelling and content creation tools for donor communications. Demonstrated experience navigating and contributing within a complex, matrixed organization.
