Drug Hunter (drughunter.com) is a subscription pre-competitive intelligence platform for biotech/pharma R&D scientists that empowers them to discover the medicines of the future. We support teams at 200+ of the world\'s leading biotech and pharma companies. We are seeking a rigorous, investigative Scientific Editor with excellent research and communication skills to join the Drug Hunter team. The Scientific Editor will research, write, edit, and commission articles on cutting edge small molecule therapeutics, with a focus on conveying information in an efficient and information-rich way. Scientific rigor, a clear communication style, and attention to detail are must-have attributes for the successful candidate. The Scientific Editor will produce content that analyzes scientific advancements in small molecule-based drug discovery and development and provides readers with insights and updates on relevant problems and solutions for their work. The Editor will work with internal full-time Research Analysts and/or external freelance Research Analysts. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Regular interaction with industry scientists and leaders is expected. Responsibilities

Efficiently conducts research based on reputable primary sources, peer-reviewed journals, databases, expert interviews, FDA and other government documents to support statements of fact in research articles with rigorous interpretation of data Clearly presents and communicates complex scientific information in easy-to-read short-form articles, slide presentations, and infographics while preserving scientific accuracy Contributes high-quality feature, editorial, and perspective articles for pharmaceutical professionals; provides briefs and proposals based on industry insights Writes and speaks in tones appropriate for audiences ranging from students to industry professionals and investors, with empathy to their needs Prepares chemical schemes, tables, figures, and illustrations using chemical drawing software (e.g., ChemDraw) in line with Drug Hunter\'s visual identity Reviews, edits, and fact-checks the research of contributors, providing constructive feedback Contributes to the editorial process ensuring assets are proofed, accurate, produced in a timely fashion, and of high scientific quality; aligns with publishing goals Develops, prototypes, and deploys concepts for new content series based on reader feedback and industry needs grasps concepts from new fields of science and connects developments to industry needs Maintains understanding of concepts across organic/medicinal chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacology, and state-of-the-art developments Fosters relationships with industry and academic experts through presentations, events, calls, and discussions Promotes a positive culture aligned with the company\'s mission and values: facts, community, clarity, helpfulness, teamwork, and accountability Requirements

Authorization to work in the United States A Ph.D. (or equivalent) in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, chemical biology or a closely related field 5+ years of prior work experience focused on drug discovery; preference for candidates with biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry experience Broad research interests and awareness of trends in drug discovery, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals; eagerness to learn new scientific areas Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English (written and spoken) Ability to travel, attend conferences, and build relationships with researchers worldwide Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment with colleagues across disciplines Digital nativeness, comfort with social media, software, and new technologies; willingness to apply best practices to a growing organization The successful candidate will report to the Scientific Director of Small Molecule Modalities and contribute to setting the strategic direction of the content team. This is a full-time, fully remote position based in the United States. Application process
