Overview Fox News Media is seeking a Writer for Fox & Friends and Fox & Friends First. As the Writer, you’ll write compelling and conversational copy to pull viewers in on a wide variety of topics.
Shift: Thursday-Monday, 1 AM ET - 9 AM ET.
Responsibilities Efficiently and accurately write and produce multiple compelling headlines at once
Write scripts and banners
Cut video and sound bites; produce graphics
Consistently meet firm deadlines on multiple assignments
Work with reporters on their hits while following guidance from the show’s senior producer
Flag producers about updates on your assignments, including breaking news developments and new visual elements
Collaborate with the show’s head writer, copy editor, and writing team
Think outside the box to tell a story
What You Will Need At least one year of writing and/or television experience
Exceptional scriptwriting skills, news judgment, and grammar
Flexibility to work overnight hours
Thorough knowledge of current events, US politics, geopolitics, foreign policy, and history
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location, is $60,000.00-70,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for union-represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
