Overview We are seeking a versatile Service Designer & UX Lead to join the newly formed DCE Finance team. This role demands a powerful combination of strategic thinking and precise execution, requiring you to take ownership of all stages of UX design. You will collaborate with other designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to develop innovative, user-friendly products and provide solutions for critical areas within complex user flows. You will transform how the CCB (Customer & Community Banking) Finance organization leverages data to enable smarter decisions on topics like headcount, expenses, forecasting, planning, and month-end reporting.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in user-centered design, excellent visual design skills, and proven expertise in designing for web and digital experiences. Hands-on comfort with HTML and CSS is highly valued. This role offers exposure to emerging technologies such as large language models, AI, and ChatGPT, while collaborating with experienced UX Leads, Researchers, Product Owners, and Tech Teams. Audiences include Business Support teams for Field Finance, Controllers, Planning & Analysis, and Chief Financial Officers.
Responsibilities Define user models and user interfaces for new and existing products/features.
Develop high-level and detailed storyboards, mockups, and prototypes to communicate interaction and design ideas.
Gauge the usability of new and existing products, providing constructive suggestions for change.
Concept and develop new and engaging user experiences.
Create service blueprints, journey maps, ecosystem maps, personas, service prototypes, scenarios, storyboards, protocols, and guidelines.
Facilitate and schedule user interviews and workshops.
Present work to product owners, tech teams, data & analysis teams, and business stakeholders.
Work with software vendors to advise on configurations and customizations.
Qualifications 5+ years of experience in UX and/or service design in a corporate or technical environment.
Ability to structure and organize information effectively.
Proficiency in creating service concepts, mockups, and prototypes.
Experience with usability testing and iterative design.
Understanding of service design principles and holistic service experiences.
Strong grasp of visual design principles (balance, typography, layout).
Basic data analysis skills to derive insights from user data and metrics.
Strong writing and storytelling skills.
Ability to find creative solutions for constraints posed by vendor applications.
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Ability to pivot gracefully when priorities shift.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in financial services.
Familiarity with agile development and design sprint processes.
Experience working in data-intensive environments with exposure to cloud-based solutions.
Familiarity with Salesforce, Tableau, Agile methodology, and JIRA.
