Responsibilities Reporting on finance, macroeconomics, and technology news in the North American region Building and maintaining networks within North America's financial, macroeconomic, and tech sectors Qualifications Over 5 years of professional experience reporting in finance, macroeconomics, or technology for reputable media outlets Strong sourcing, interviewing, and writing skills; a well-established network and experience in North American political, economic, and financial sectors Excellent command of English, capable of conducting in-depth interviews and conversations independently Priority given to candidates with recognized industry influence and bylines Passionate about journalism, resilient, committed, and able to live and work long-term in Palo Alto or New York Location Palo Alto, CA; New York, NY (United States) Compensation and Benefits The expected base pay range for this position in the listed locations is $79,600.00 to $149,200.00 per year. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Eligible for a sign-on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units, evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Eligible for medical, dental, vision, life and disability benefits, and participation in the Company’s 401(k) plan. Eligible for up to 15 to 25 days of vacation per year (depending on tenure), up to 13 holidays throughout the calendar year, and up to 10 days of paid sick leave per year. Benefits may be adjusted for location, employment status, duration of employment, and position level; pro-rated for those starting mid-year.
