Gizmodo is looking for a writer with a passion for the technology consumers are using every day. As a consumer tech reporter at Gizmodo, you’ll be checking out the latest gadgets, covering breaking news, and writing reviews. The ideal candidate should know the major players in consumer technology, have a strong voice and point of view, and a willingness to call out companies when their tech hurts consumers more than helps them.
What You’ll Do Write product reviews weekly
Cover the news on your beat daily
Create and maintain guides to help readers get the most from their tech
Attend conferences and briefings and turn stories around quickly
Who You Are You love consumer technology and are excited about what’s new
You are a fast, clear, and accurate writer and familiar with journalistic best practices
You have a strong grasp of the most important companies and technologies to follow on your beat
You love working in a fast-moving environment with a committed team
You don’t mince words and have a command of tone
