About The Role The role is full-time and salaried, reporting to the Engineering Manager. This position is in-office in our New Jersey (NJ) location. About You You think like a designer. You are energized by precision, problem-solving, and turning ideas into buildable drawings. You produce high-quality work that meets project goals and technical standards, track revisions, stay organized, and hold yourself to exacting standards. You collaborate across teams, communicate clearly, and know when to take initiative or support others. Essential Functions Create 2D and 3D technical drawings using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks Interpret design specifications and convert rough sketches into detailed plans Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure accuracy and feasibility Revise drawings based on feedback and updated project requirements Maintain organized digital libraries of drawings and templates Prepare supporting documents such as material lists, cost estimates, and schedules Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations Coordinate with outsourced modelers to expedite engineering design creation Core Requirements Education: Associate degree or certification in drafting, engineering, or architecture Experience: 3+ years in CAD drafting Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar CAD tools Experience in SolidWorks is required Experience with 3D Experience and OpenBOM is a plus Skills Attention to detail and technical communication Strong visual and spatial awareness Ability to work independently and as part of a team Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) Willingness to stay updated with evolving CAD technologies Details Starting compensation range: $65,000 - $85,000, determined by experience and location Typical hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (ET) Exempt from overtime per FLSA standards Benefits Employer-covered Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance (employee portion 100% covered) 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer contribution Paid Time Off & Holidays Life & Disability Insurance Hiring Process Resume, cover letter, and submissions are reviewed Video screening with the Human Resources Manager and Hiring Manager 1 to 2 additional interviews with the RPH team, with ongoing communication throughout RPH is proudly an equal opportunity employer and is committed to hiring a diverse workforce.
